GLYNDWRS WAY  23 Feb - 3 Mar 2010

This was my first walk in Wales and the Welsh did themselves proud providing the usual staples of sheep, big hills and snow in abundance.  Starting in Knighton with what seemed like a reasonable forecast, day 1 rapidly deteriorated into a slog through driving snow culminating in an early "emergency" stop at the most bizarre B&B ever.  From then on however the weather picked up and was generally great for the remainder.  A call from work to get back a day earlier than planned meant a mad 27 mile dash into Welshpool (followed by the 9pm train to Shrewsbury as there was no room at the inn in Welshpool) to finish off.  An enjoyable walk through lots of countryside that I am very familiar with, albeit usually from the air!
